Weltrade at 20: A Two-Decade Track Record, 1 Million Traders and Seven Awards

Weltrade has run since 2006 under SystemForex and then its own name. We review the published milestones, the office map, the seven customer awards and the conditions behind them.

PrimeFXHub review summary

Longevity is one of the few things in this industry that cannot be manufactured by a marketing budget. Weltrade started in June 2006 under the name SystemForex, rebranded to Weltrade in March 2012, and is now in its twentieth year of operation. The company states that over 1,000,000 registered traders and 10,000 partners in more than 40 countries use its services. This review looks at that track record on its own terms: the milestones the company publishes, the offices it has opened, the awards it lists, and the conditions it puts on the table.

Weltrade company history page stating the broker has operated since 2006 with over one million registered traders

The short version: a broker that has been building the same platform for two decades, expanded steadily across Asia and Latin America, and has the award record and the operational history to back the claim. Traders who want to see the current conditions for themselves can start on the official Weltrade website.

Two decades, in the company’s own milestones

Weltrade publishes a dated timeline rather than a vague founding story, which makes the record checkable. The entries that matter most to a trader:

Weltrade company milestones timeline starting with the SystemForex launch in June 2006
  • June 2006 — SystemForex launches. March 2012 — the company rebrands to Weltrade.

  • March 2008 — an in-house Analytical Department opens. September 2010 — its tutorial videos become free for all clients.

  • October 2012 — MetaTrader 5 is integrated, which the company describes as being among the first in the world to do so.

  • March 2013 — STP execution technology is integrated. February 2013 — technical, information and financial support goes 24/7.

  • September 2013 — a VPS service launches for round-the-clock trading. February 2014 — the PAMM investment service launches.

  • December 2020 — 500,000 registered traders. October 2024 — 1,000,000 registered traders.

Two entries are worth pausing on. The Analytical Department dates to 2008, which means research has been in-house for most of the company’s life rather than bolted on recently. And the jump from half a million to a million traders took under four years — the growth curve is steepest in the most recent stretch, not in the early days.

A map of offices, not just a website

Plenty of brokers claim a global footprint while operating from a single address. Weltrade’s timeline lists representative offices opened one by one, and the pattern is a deliberate march through Southeast Asia:

  • Minsk (August 2007) and Kyiv (March 2011) — the CIS market.

  • Thailand (June 2012) — the first Asian office.

  • Indonesia (January 2016), Vietnam (February 2016) and Kazakhstan (May 2016).

  • Laos (June 2017), Cambodia (January 2023) and the Philippines (June 2024).

For a trader in Southeast Asia, that history matters more than a generic “we serve 40 countries” line: local offices usually mean local-language support and local payment methods, and the Vietnam office has been running since 2016.

The award shelf

Weltrade lists seven customer awards on its company page, spanning 2017 to 2024:

Weltrade customer awards list from 2017 to 2024 including Broker of the Year LATAM
  • 2024 — Broker of the Year – LATAM

  • 2023 — Best Forex Broker

  • 2023 — Best CFD Trading Conditions

  • 2023 — Best Forex Broker Asia

  • 2021 — Most Trusted in Asia

  • 2019 — Best Foreign Broker

  • 2017 — Best Customer Service Award

The timeline adds detail the award list leaves out. The 2024 LATAM title was awarded twice in December 2024 — once at the FinanceFeeds Awards 2024 and once by Brands and Business Magazine. Earlier, in July 2015, the company took a Best Trade Executions award at the Shanghai Forex Expo, and in September 2024 it appeared at IFX Asia. Industry awards are not regulation and should not be read as a safety guarantee, but a record spread across eight years and three continents is harder to dismiss than a single trophy.

Regulation and client protection

Weltrade describes itself as “an international group of companies operating under a single brand name” and publishes the structure openly, with a View certificates link on the company page. The entities:

  • Weltrade Ltd. — incorporated in Saint Lucia under registration number 2023-00055, operating under the laws of Saint Lucia.

  • Weltrade SA (PTY) Ltd — registration number 2019/334947/07, authorised by South Africa’s Financial Sector Conduct Authority as FSP 50691, Category I – Intermediary Services in derivative instruments.

  • Danoa Enterprises LTD — Cyprus, registration number HE489250, acting as payment agent.

Read that plainly: the FSCA authorisation covers the South African entity and the intermediary services it provides, while accounts opened under the Saint Lucia company sit outside a tier-one regime such as the FCA, ASIC or CySEC — which is why retail leverage caps and statutory compensation schemes do not apply there. On the client-side protections the company does publish, accounts are covered by multi-level security, 2FA and a verification process.

Costs to check

Weltrade publishes a side-by-side comparison of its own conditions against four unnamed brokers, timestamped 11:52 PM UTC, 18 September 2026. It is the broker’s own table, so treat it as a claim rather than an independent audit — but the rows are specific enough to verify.

Weltrade conditions comparison showing zero deposit fees, MetaTrader support, TradingView charts and refer-a-friend payout
  • Deposit fees: 0% — matched by three of the four comparison columns, so this is table stakes rather than an edge.

  • Withdrawal fees — payment provider charges only.

  • Commission / opening fee: No — again matched across the board.

  • Number of assets: 150+ — mid-pack; two comparison columns list more.

  • Synthetic indices — the only column in the table marked as offering them.

  • Refer-a-friend payout: up to $200 and a 100% Welcome Bonus — the highest figures in their respective rows.

  • On spreads, the XAUUSD row shows Weltrade at 233.32 pips against 244.90 to 662.20 for the others — the lowest of the five. On the major FX pairs the figures sit in the middle of the group rather than at the front.

Platforms and execution

The platform stack is conventional in the best sense — the tools traders already know, with nothing proprietary to relearn. Weltrade’s comparison table marks it as offering MetaTrader 4 and 5, MetaTrader Web and TradingView charts; of the five columns, only two carry the TradingView tick. STP execution technology has been integrated since March 2013, and the VPS service for uninterrupted automated trading since September 2013.

On the asset side the company lists currency pairs, metals, commodities and digital currencies, plus its own synthetic indices. Traders can compare the current instrument list and live conditions on the Weltrade platform page before opening anything.

Deposits, withdrawals, and support

  • Support has been 24/7 since February 2013 — technical, information and financial, not a business-hours inbox.

  • My Safe, launched September 2008, provides instant top-up and an FX converter inside the personal area.

  • Fast withdrawals are listed as available around the clock, with fees limited to what payment providers charge.

  • Fast verification is called out as a specific commitment, alongside multi-level security and 2FA on all accounts.

Who may want to research Weltrade

This is a broker for traders who weigh operating history heavily. Twenty years of continuous operation, an in-house analytical desk since 2008, MT5 support since 2012 and a million registered accounts are the kind of facts that reduce counterparty anxiety — particularly for traders in Southeast Asia and Latin America, where the company has physical offices and a documented award record. Those who prioritise tier-one regulation above all else should note the licensing structure above and weigh it accordingly. Anyone who wants to check today’s conditions, account types and regional availability can do so on the Weltrade site.

Risk warning

Weltrade publishes this warning, quoted in full: “CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. A substantial majority of retail traders lose money when trading CFDs with providers.” A long track record and a shelf of awards say something about the company; they say nothing about whether any individual trade will succeed.

The broker does not accept clients from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Russia, Belarus, India, Iran and North Korea, along with jurisdictions covered by international sanctions and FATF restrictions. Availability of individual account types also varies by region.
