IC Trading Copy Trading 2026: ZuluTrade, cTrader Copy and the Account You Need

IC Trading runs two copy trading systems, not one. What ZuluTrade and cTrader Copy each give you, which account type each needs, and the FSC Mauritius licence, insurance cap and risk details to read first.

Most brokers that advertise copy trading mean one thing by it. IC Trading means two, and they are not interchangeable: ZuluTrade and cTrader Copy run on different platforms, with different tooling, and one of them requires a specific account type you have to choose when you open it. Getting that wrong is the most common way people end up unable to copy anyone.

This review covers IC Trading copy trading as published on 15 October 2026: what each system does, which account each one needs, and the regulatory and risk details anyone should read before putting money behind someone else's trades. We did not open an account, deposit, or copy any trader. You can see the current setup at the IC Trading site.

PrimeFXHub review summary: IC Trading copy trading at a glance

IC Trading copy trading runs on the offshore arm of the IC group, operated by Capital Point Trading Ltd under a Financial Services Commission of Mauritius licence. For copy trading specifically:

  • Two systems, not one: ZuluTrade and cTrader Copy.

  • ZuluTrade brings Zulu Rank, Zulu Guard and a trading simulator.

  • cTrader Copy keeps copied investments in separate accounts and automates equity updates.

  • Account matters: cTrader Copy needs the cTrader Raw Spread account; the MetaTrader accounts do not run it.

  • Our rating: 4.4 / 5, with the caveats in the regulation and risk sections below.

What IC Trading copy trading actually gives you

IC Trading's own description of copy trading is short and worth quoting because it sets expectations correctly: copy trading "provides you with the ability to follow and replicate the strategies of top traders, using platforms like ZuluTrade and cTrader Copy. It is an easy way to benefit from expert insights without managing trades yourself."

Then it adds a line most brokers leave out: "Make sure to review your own trading goals to ensure these strategies fit your personal approach." That is the right framing for IC Trading copy trading. IC Trading copy trading moves the decision of what to trade to someone else; it does not move the risk. You still hold the positions, you still carry the leverage, and you still lose money if the person you copied is wrong.

The practical point for a reader comparing brokers is that IC Trading copy trading is not a proprietary in-house product. It is access to two established third-party copy ecosystems through IC Trading's execution and account structure.

ZuluTrade on IC Trading: Zulu Rank, Zulu Guard and simulation

ZuluTrade is the social trading side of IC Trading copy trading. IC Trading describes it as a platform that "connects you with top traders from around the world," with performance metrics, customisation settings and risk management tools. Three named features do the real work:

  • Zulu Rank — "a sophisticated algorithm ranks Signal Providers by evaluating key factors such as overall performance, consistency, experience, risk exposure, and required minimum equity." Note what is in that list: not just returns, but consistency, risk exposure and how much equity a provider demands.

  • Zulu Guard — "a powerful account protection feature that monitors your traders' performance 24/7 and intervenes when needed to safeguard your invested capital." Read that as an automated stop on a provider who goes wrong, not as a guarantee your capital is safe.

  • Trading Simulation — "an advanced tool lets you explore potential profits and losses, test different trading strategies, and gain valuable insights into performance — giving you the confidence to go live only when you're ready."

ZuluTrade also runs on Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows phone and a desktop widget, so this half of IC Trading copy trading is not tied to a desk.

Zulu Guard and the ZuluTrade simulator, two of the three named ZuluTrade features.

Of the three ZuluTrade tools, the simulator is the one most worth using first. Testing an allocation against historical performance before funding it costs nothing and tells you more than a leaderboard position does.

cTrader Copy on IC Trading: strategy profiles and separate accounts

The second half of IC Trading copy trading is cTrader's native system. IC Trading describes it as letting you "replicate top strategies from the cTrader community with full transparency and control," with:

  • Detailed strategy profiles including historical performance

  • Advanced risk management tools

  • Automated trades, with automatic updates to equity and positions

  • A social media-style trading experience

  • Investments kept in separate accounts for added security

That last point is the structural difference from ZuluTrade worth understanding. Copied capital sitting in its own account rather than mixed into your main balance makes it much easier to see what the copying is actually doing, and to stop it without disturbing your own positions.

Which account you need for IC Trading copy trading

This is the part that is not on the IC Trading copy trading page, and the reason people get stuck. IC Trading runs three live account types, and the platform column decides which IC Trading copy trading system you can reach.

  • cTrader Raw Spread — platform cTrader. Commission $3.00 per USD 100k ($6.00 round turn), spreads from 0.0 pips, 2,000 maximum open positions, London server, C# for automation, positioned for day traders and scalpers. This is the account for cTrader Copy.

  • Raw Spread — platform MetaTrader. Commission $3.50 per lot per side ($7.00 round turn), spreads from 0.0 pips, 200 maximum positions, New York server, MQL4, positioned for EAs and scalpers.

  • Standard — platform MetaTrader. $0 commission, spreads from 0.8 pips, 200 maximum positions, New York server, MQL4.

All three share a suggested starting deposit of $200, leverage up to 1:500, a 50% stop out level, 61 currency pairs, micro lot trading from 0.01, one-click trading and a swap-free option.

Two practical notes for IC Trading copy trading. The 2,000 position limit on cTrader Raw Spread versus 200 on the MetaTrader accounts matters specifically for copying, because following several providers at once multiplies open positions quickly. And the London versus New York server split is worth knowing if latency matters to the strategies you intend to copy. Account specifications are listed in full on the IC Trading accounts page.

Regulation and client protection behind IC Trading copy trading

Reported as published, including the part that is easy to misread.

  • IC Trading is operated by Capital Point Trading Ltd, licensed by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius, licence number GB21026834. You can verify a licence number directly with the regulator at the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius.

  • Client funds are held in segregated accounts, separate from the company's operational capital, and IC Trading states it works with an independent auditor on day-to-day FSC compliance.

  • Client money insurance covers funds "up to $1,000,000 USD… including open CFD positions," with published policy number TT2602110.

  • ⚠️ Read the wording on that cover carefully. The page states protection "up to US $1,000,000 for all claimants" — that is an aggregate ceiling across everyone claiming, not $1,000,000 per client. It is a real protection and more than many offshore brokers publish, but it is not a per-account guarantee.

  • Restricted countries: Capital Point Trading Ltd states it does not provide services to residents of the United States, Canada, Israel, New Zealand, Iran and North Korea, or any country where that would breach local law.

An FSC Mauritius licence is an offshore licence, not a tier-one one. It is not equivalent to FCA, ASIC or CySEC authorisation, and there is no statutory compensation scheme behind it — which is precisely why the private insurance policy above exists and why its aggregate cap is worth noting.

Costs to check before you start IC Trading copy trading

IC Trading copy trading adds a layer on top of ordinary trading costs, so budget for both.

  • Spread and commission on every copied trade, at the same rates as your own trades.

  • Any signal provider or strategy fee charged inside ZuluTrade or cTrader Copy — set by the provider, not by IC Trading, and not published on IC Trading's pages.

  • Swap, unless you use the swap-free option.

  • The commission difference between accounts is not trivial at volume: $6.00 round turn per USD 100k on cTrader Raw Spread versus $7.00 per lot round turn on Raw Spread, or zero commission with a 0.8 pip floor on Standard.

Platforms and execution for IC Trading copy trading

IC Trading publishes MetaTrader 5, MetaTrader 4, cTrader, a web trader and a VPS offering alongside the two copy systems. Markets span forex, indices, synthetic indices, commodities, stocks, bonds, cryptocurrency and futures CFDs, with 61 currency pairs and micro lots from 0.01 available on every account.

For IC Trading copy trading, the platform choice is effectively made for you by the system you want: cTrader Copy on cTrader, ZuluTrade alongside the MetaTrader accounts.

Deposits, withdrawals and support around IC Trading copy trading

IC Trading publishes a dedicated deposits and withdrawals page, a trading hours page, a help centre and a contact page, plus a Risk Disclosure Notice as a downloadable PDF. A free demo account is available on all three account types, which is where IC Trading copy trading should be tested first, which is the sensible place to test IC Trading copy trading before funding it.

Who may want to research IC Trading copy trading

IC Trading copy trading suits a trader who already understands CFD leverage, wants exposure to third-party strategies rather than a managed product, and is comfortable with an offshore licence backed by segregated accounts and a capped insurance policy.

It is a poor fit for anyone treating IC Trading copy trading as a way to avoid learning the risk. Copying a ranked provider does not reduce leverage, does not cap your losses, and does not make past performance predictive. Start on a demo, use the ZuluTrade simulator, and size any allocation as money you can afford to lose. Current conditions are published on the IC Trading platform.

How this IC Trading copy trading review was done

We did not register, deposit, copy a signal provider or place a trade. This is a desk review built from IC Trading's published pages, read on 15 October 2026: the copy trading page, the ZuluTrade social trading page, the account comparison, the regulations page and the client money insurance page. Figures and feature descriptions are IC Trading's own and are quoted or attributed as such. We did not reproduce any signal provider rankings, names or live account performance figures.

Risk warning

IC Trading's own warning, quoted in full: "CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. The majority of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. There is a possibility to lose all your initial capital."

IC Trading copy trading does not change that. A signal provider's ranking reflects past results, and IC Trading's own ZuluTrade material carries the standard note that past results are not necessarily indicative of future results. Zulu Guard is a monitoring tool, not a capital guarantee. Nothing in this article is financial advice and we are not financial advisers. If you want to look further, start with a demo on the IC Trading platform and read the Risk Disclosure Notice first.
